Psalms 84:1-4
How rlovely is your sdwelling place,
O LORD of hosts!
2 My soul tlongs, yes, ufaints
for the courts of the LORD;
my heart and flesh sing for joy
to vthe living God.
3 Even the sparrow finds a home,
and the swallow a nest for herself,
where she may lay her young,
at your altars, O LORD of hosts,
wmy King and my God.
4 xBlessed are those who dwell in your house,
ever ysinging your praise! Selah
1 Corinthians 3:16-17,
16 cDo you not know that you3 are God's temple and that God's Spirit dwellsin you? 17 If anyone destroys God's temple, God will destroy him. For dGod'stemple is holy, and you are that temple.
18 eLet no one deceive himself. fIf anyone among you thinks that he is wisein this age, let him become a fool that he may become wise. 19 For gthe wisdomof this world is folly with God. For it is written, h“He catches the wise in theircraftiness,” 20 and again, i“The Lord knows the thoughts of the wise, that theyare futile.” 21 So jlet no one boast in men. For kall things are yours, 22 whetherPaul or Apollos or Cephas or the world or life or death or the present or thefuture—all are yours, 23 and lyou are Christ's, and mChrist is God's.
John 2:13-22
13 tThe Passover of the Jews was at hand, and Jesus uwent up to Jerusalem.14 vIn the temple he found those who were selling oxen and sheep and pigeons, and the money-changers sitting there. 15 And making a whip of cords, he drovethem all out of the temple, with the sheep and oxen. And he poured out thecoins of the money-changers and overturned their tables. 16 And he told thosewho sold the pigeons, “Take these things away; do not make wmy Father'shouse a house of trade.” 17 His disciples remembered that it was written, x“Zealfor your house will consume me.”
18 So the Jews said to him, y“What sign do you show us for doing thesethings?” 19 Jesus answered them, z“Destroy this temple, and in three days aIwill raise it up.” 20 The Jews then said, “It has taken forty-six years to build thistemple,3 and will you raise it up in three days?” 21 But he was speaking aboutbthe temple of his body. 22 When therefore he was raised from the dead, chisdisciples remembered that he had said this, and they believed dthe Scriptureand the word that Jesus had spoken.
