King’s Cross Seoul
Our Start —
In September 2017, a dedicated group of 30 individuals from Jubilee Church embarked on an inspiring mission to establish a new, diverse, and Christ-centered community in Seoul. Under the leadership of Pastor Sangmin and Lois, we initially gathered in their home, nurturing a warm and welcoming environment from the outset.
Our modest beginnings rapidly evolved, leading us to a gothic theater space within a local mall, which served as our first place of worship for the initial three years of our journey. However, the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic forced the mall to shut down. Amidst this uncertainty, a single phone call revealed God’s remarkable providence, guiding us to our current location near the iconic Olympic Park in the Jamsil area. This new space has since become a beacon of hope and a central hub for our thriving community.
Our Evolving Story —
One of the defining moments in our history was the establishment of our Elder board in 2020, which provided strong, faithful leadership and direction. Our commitment to mission work has been steadfast, with partnerships in Nepal since 2017 and in Mongolia from 2022. These efforts reflect our deep commitment to making disciples and planting churches that embody Christ's love and message to the world.
At King’s Cross Seoul, our mission is simple: to make disciples and plant churches that reflect Christ to the world. We believe that this mission starts by loving one another, and our core values — Christ, Community, City, and Church Planting — guide everything we do.
Our community's greatest strength is our diversity. We are blessed with people from over 20 nations and cultures, creating a rich tapestry of experiences and perspectives that enhance our worship and fellowship under Christ. As we continue our journey, we remain dedicated to loving God and serving others, confident that our story is just beginning. We invite you to join us and be a part of this exciting chapter in our church's history.
